RARE GERMAN CROSS IN SILVER By Zimmermann
(Deutsches Kreuz in Silber)
The German Cross made by Zimmermann with perfect rays and enamel.
The enamel parts have no chips or cracks. The entire badge has some nice patina. The reverse to the German Cross with typical hollow-rivet construction, flat-tapered pin bearing the stamped LDO number '20' for C. F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim.
Rare badge and super nice condition.
A very nice addition to any collection of historic Third Reich artifacts.

1939 pattern three piece, iron and nickel/silver plated alloy construction.
Magnetic iron core and a two piece alloy frame.
The plain reverse has a all catches intact.

The magnetic center retains about 95% of its black wash.
The vertical pin and catch all intact.
The pin is well marked with the stamped manufacturers LDO code within a rectangular border, "L/11", indicating manufacture by Wilhelm Deumer Lüdenscheid.
