Three piece, iron and nickel/silver plated alloy construction.
Single piece iron core and a two piece alloy frame.
The magnetic center retains about 95% of its black wash.
The vertical pin and catch all intact.
The pin is well marked with the stamped manufacturers LDO code within a rectangular border, "L/11", indicating manufacture by Wilhelm Deumer Lüdenscheid.
Nice clean example.

F. BAR TO THE IRON CROSS 1ST CLASS, 1939 ". (Spange 1939 zum EKI Klasse 1914)
Nicely detailed, die struck alloy construction, second pattern, frosted nickel/silver plated award.
The frosted nickel/silver plating is retained about 95%.
The plain reverse of the award has a solid hinge, a round vertical pin, and catch all intact.
