CASED BAR TO THE IRON CROSS 1ST CLASS, 1939. (Spange 1939 zum EKI Klasse 1914 mit Etui)
Great looking Cased Spange to The Iron Cross, First Class 1939, second pattern nickel/silver plated of the highest quality in mint factory condition.
The nickel/silver plating is retained about 99% frost finish.
Swastika and date are polished to a high sheen.
Plain reverse has vertical pin, and catch all intact.
The spange has no manufacturers markings.
The spange comes with original wood and pressed cardboard case with a simulated black grained leather covering and magnetic closure button.
On the lid silvered likeness of the spange to the center.
The interior of the case has a black velvet bottom and top lid has a white satin lining.
VERY HARD TO FIND AWARD IN THIS MINT CONDITION.

RARE GERMAN CROSS IN SILVER By Zimmermann
(Deutsches Kreuz in Silber)
The German Cross made by Zimmermann with perfect rays and enamel.
The enamel parts have no chips or cracks. The entire badge has some nice patina. The reverse to the German Cross with typical hollow-rivet construction, flat-tapered pin bearing the stamped LDO number '20' for C. F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim.
Rare badge and super nice condition.
A very nice addition to any collection of historic Third Reich artifacts.

Three piece, iron and nickel/silver plated alloy construction.
Single piece iron core and a two piece alloy frame.
The magnetic center retains about 95% of its black wash.
The vertical pin and catch all intact.
The pin is well marked with the stamped manufacturers 65, indicating manufacture by Klein & Quenzer Idar/Oberstein.
Nice clean example.

Stamped from brass with a bronze finish.
